BARRICHELLO STRIKES AGAIN AT ROTAX MAX CHALLENGE WINTER TROPHY OPENER

The opening rounds of the Rotax MAX Challenge Winter Trophy at Orlando Kart Center (January 24-26) saw the team deliver solid performances with a win, podium finishes, strong qualifying results, and determined comebacks.
MAX Masters: Victory for Rubens Barrichello
Rubens Barrichello showcased his experience and pace throughout the weekend, securing P2 in Saturday's final before claiming victory in Sunday's main event. His performances, paired with pole position in Sunday's qualifying, highlighted his dominance in the class.
Junior MAX: Podium for Alexis Baillargeon
Alexis Baillargeon put in a strong performance, qualifying P3 on Saturday and P2 on Sunday. Alexis won the race but he was demoted to P6 due to stewards' decision. On Sunday, it was Isaac Malcuit who stepped up, delivering a P2 finish in the final after a determined drive.
Senior MAX: Solid Pace from Timothy Pernod
Timothy Pernod was among the front-runners in the Senior MAX category, securing P2 in Saturday's qualifying and backing it up with a P4 finish in the final. Sunday proved more challenging, with Pernod finishing P7 after battling in a competitive field. Diego Ramos had a performance, the Brazilian started almost last the Final (31st) and finished P8 with fastest lap on the track.
DD2: Podium for Lucas Pernod
The DD2 category saw Lucas Pernod consistently among the frontrunners. After qualifying P5, he fought hard in Saturday's final to secure a P3 podium finish. Sunday was a more challenging race, but he still delivered a P6 finish, proving his competitiveness in the field. Matthew Taskinen, also in DD2, maintained solid pace throughout the weekend.
Mini MAX: Progress for Matias Dominguez
Matias Dominguez showed resilience across both rounds, starting P4 in Saturday's qualifying but facing difficulties in the race, finishing P18. He rebounded well on Sunday, improving to P8 in the final, marking strong progress as he adapts to the category.
Micro MAX: Strong Comeback from Murilo Dominguez
Murilo Dominguez displayed strong race craft in Micro MAX, qualifying P7 and P9 across the two rounds. Saturday's final saw him finish P15, but on Sunday, he put together a strong drive to climb up to P5.
Reflecting on the weekend, Team Manager Kevin King shared: "Rubens' win in Max Masters was a great highlight, and we had strong podium results in DD2 and Junior MAX. Across all categories, we saw progress, even in tough conditions. The team is staying focused as we prepare for the next challenge."
The team now shifts its attention to the next round of the Rotax MAX Challenge Winter Trophy, coming up this weekend, ready to build on the momentum from Orlando.
