NEPVEU & NORBERG DOMINATE WINTER SERIES

The final round of the SKUSA Winter Series came to an end last weekend in Ocala, FL at the bullring track of Ocala Gran Prix offering tight qualifying times and aggressive competition.  With the #redarmy nearly clinching a few of the prestigious Championship titles, Birel ART was the team to beat during the 3 day event.

IAME X30 Junior driver, Thomas Nepveu took a big win on Saturday's main event after leading the pre final while putting down quick times with each lap throughout the session.  However, a penalty post-session for a 'jump start' put Nepveu back to P5.  A notable performance by Mac Clark (Prime Power team) coming from 44th to 13th, a task requiring a lot of determination at the tight Ocala Gran Prix circuit. Sunday, Nepveu would qualify again in the front with a P3 and finish P5 in the final.

On Saturday, X30 Senior's Ryan Norberg, finished P5 with an ignition/electrical in the final, causing a loss of power. Sunday, Norberg qualified, and even going into the final, Ryan was literally the quickest kart on track. Starting the main P6 after a racing incident in the pre final, Norberg fell back to P8 in the first lap, but went forward to P2 with only one lap short of winning against some very respectable competition.

X30 Masters, Meir was able to close out the final with a respectable P4, but Bohla brought home a big win in S4 on Saturday's final and Schemerhorn with a P1 in S4 on Sunday.  Both drivers, Schmerhorn and Bhola backed up their results with a 1-2 finish on Sunday, confirming their personal strength and determination in the physically demanding shifter category.

Dominic Labrecque, President Birel ART N.A. - "Our drivers impress us each and every single weekend.  The pressure is unbelievable at these events, with such short sprint races, the drivers must have absolute focus and mental preparation, aside from having well tuned equipment.  I'm very proud of what our drivers accomplished at the Winter Series"

Coy Arbour, Team Manager Birel ART N.A. - "For us, we are doing our job - each and every weekend.  Our drivers rely on our engineers to adjust the machine according to the conditions, so it's fair to say our communication between each level of management exceed's our drivers expectations. I would personally like to thank all our partners, families and our staff for an outstanding season thus far."
