Birel ART X30 INTERNATIONAL FINAL CHAMPIONS

Location:  Le Mans, France

Event:  X30 International Final 2017

Date: Oct 23, 2017

This year's Iame X30 final, held in Le Mans France, featuring over 450 registered drivers, 144 in X30 senior alone, making it one of the most competitive events of 2017.  Ryan Norberg, factory Birel ART North American driver, competed as part of his 2017 SKUSA Pro Tour Championship Award, and he certainly made the best of it demonstrating not only his own skill, but the reliability of Birel ART's refined chassis and accessories.

This race required the usual qualifying effort (in two groups), however there were a total of seven (7) heats, requiring maximum effort in each.  Ryan was able to finish (In order of heats) an incredible P4, P4, P3, P2, P2, P2 and P16, setting him up for P9 in the pre-final to eventually start P3 in the final, an absolute ideal position considering 144 Senior drivers entered this world class event.  Ryan would battle hard in the initial stages, with a fantastic pass for the lead on Oliver Hodgson (Birel ART / PFI) in lap 2, but would fall back to P3 shortly after.  Considering the top 10 were some of the best drivers in the world, the final was an remarkable event to witness as a spectator.

Towards the end of the final, Ryan would settle back to P4, and make a make a move nearing the end of the last lap to regain third position.  Oliver Hodgson (Birel ART / PFi) would take a comfortable win as the group behind continued to battle and claim his first X30 World Title, an incredible accomplishment when considering the amount of talent from around the globe.

"We are very proud of Ryan, as he was certainly a contender to win such a prestigious race in Le Mans, France.  It's not easy to compete at an unknown track with with a very different format compared to America, and Ryan was able to attack that very well.  Our partner team, KMS along with Coy, Gaga and Dan, really proved the outstanding support system we have built at PSL & Birel ART.  And finally, a massive thanks to Birel ART for their relentless work effort in perfecting their chassis time and time again." - Dominic Labrecque, President Birel ART North America

PSL will focus their efforts on SKUSA's Las Vegas Super Nationals mid November, and then shift attention to the SKUSA Winter Series and ROK Florida Winter Tour beginning January (both in Florida).  PSL is already filling seats for these 3 events; for drivers and Birel ART teams interested in partnering for these races, contact info@pslkarting.com | For more information about Birel ART products in North America, visit www.pslkarting.com
