PROMISING START AND DOUBLE CLEAN SWEEP FOR THE TEAM AT SKUSA WINTER SERIES OPENING WEEKEND

The opening rounds of the 2025 SKUSA Winter Series delivered good performances and hard-fought battles for the team across all categories at the Orlando Kart Center. Held under challenging conditions, the drivers had promising speed.

KZ Class: Dominance from Danny Formal

Danny Formal set the tone with a double clean sweep in the KZ class, securing Pole Position, Prefinal victories, Final wins, and the fastest lap in both rounds. Matheus Morgatto was close behind with consistent P2 finishes, making it a 1-2 for the team in both rounds.TKG's Gavin Bayliff completed full Birelart podium on Sunday getting 3rd place.

Anthony Martella (P6-P7) and Ashton Henckel (P8-P9) added solid contributions to the team's points tally, while Lucas Deslongchamps (DNF-P13) and Charles Gauthier (P9-P15) battled through adversity to complete the weekend.

X30 Senior: Resilience from Diego Ramos

Diego Ramos rebounded strongly in Round 2 after a DNF in the opener, finishing P4 in the final. Sydney Cassels faced challenges across the weekend, finishing P25 and P32, but showed moments of promise in a highly competitive field.

KA Senior: Progress for Henry Wheeler

Henry Wheeler made steady progress in the KA Senior class, improving from P10 in Round 1 to a strong P5 finish in Round 2, demonstrating his ability to adapt and improve as the weekend unfolded.

KA Junior: Tough Weekend for Isaac Malcuit

Isaac Malcuit faced a challenging weekend in KA Junior, finishing P10 in Round 1 but dropping to P31 in Round 2. Despite the setbacks, Malcuit remains focused on refining his pace for the upcoming rounds.

Micro: Grit from Samuel Chaverri and Maxi Schubert

In the Micro category, Samuel Chaverri fought hard for P19 in Round 1 but dropped to P36 in Round 2, while Maxi Schubert showed determination despite a P38 in the opener and a DNS in Round 2.

Team Manager Kevin King shared his thoughts on the weekend:

"Danny's clean sweep in KZ was a highlight, and Matheus delivered a fantastic 1-2 result for the team. We saw strong efforts across all classes, even when facing challenges. The team remains focused and motivated as we continue to build momentum for the season."

 

The team now turns its attention to Florida Winter Tour coming up this weekend in Orlando.
