BIRELART NORTH AMERICA ADDS TO 2023 WIN TOTAL AT ROK CUP USA FLORIDA WINTER TOUR

It was a dominating performance by the BirelART North America drivers at the second round of the ROK Cup USA Florida Winter Tour this past weekend in Loxahatchee, Florida. Taking on the bumpy Piquet Entertainment & Race Park, OK World Champion Matheus Morgatto added his second victory of the Tour, winning ROK Senior while KZ World Champ Marijn Kremers won ROK Shifter, and Antonio Pizzonia Jr. won ROK Master Shifter.
"What a weekend," explained Dominic Labrecque. "We are showing the true strength of the BirelART product line and winning at the highest level of karting in North America."
After earning the pole position and completing a strong set of heat races, the 2022 Florida Winter Tour Champion Morgatto started in the pole position for the main event as his teammate Diego Ramos started directly behind in third. In the end, it was Morgatto who reigned supreme taking his second win in as many races and leads the series title chase heading to the final round. Ramos crossed the line in fourth ahead of Nolan Bowler and Frankie Esposito as four BirelART North America drivers finished in the top-ten.
Two additional wins came from the gearbox classes as Kremers earned a pair of heat race wins to earn the pole position for the prefinal where he went on to be awarded the win. Starting from the pole position for the main event and leading early, Kremers was the second to cross the line but handed the victory due to improper tire usage by a fellow competitor. Fellow ROK Shifter drivers Ricardo Escotto, Baylor Griffin and Dominic Legrand put a quartet of BirelART drivers in the top-ten crossing the line fourth, fifth, and eighth.
It was four more top-ten results, including a win in the ROK Shifter Master final as Orsolon Racing's Antonio Pizzonia Jr. dominated the main event to add a third win for the Red Army. Lucho Gautier and Franco Vassallo crossed the line sixth and seventh respectively as Martin Janson secured the ninth position on the final result sheet with Michael Legrand in 13th.
Three additional top ten results came from the ROK VLR Senior ranks with Sara Vico driving into the top five to finish fourth in a solid run. Sebastian Mathews and Aidan Shimbashi both scored top-ten finishes in sixth and eighth respectively. Mini ROK driver Cole Medeiros secured a tenth-place result as fellow BirelART driver Jackson Morley was 16th and ROK Micro competitor Seb De Moissac was 18th.
In the ROK Junior and ROK VLR Junior ranks, Major Makovskis scored the team's best result with Matisse Constantini, Carlos Sasso, Pearce Wade, Anthony Raducanoiu, Ari Theodoropoulos, and Josh Soumvalis all gaining experience and knowledge for future events.
Labrecque continued, "A huge thank you to Prime Powerteam, Orsolon Racing, PRO Racing, Mosport Kartways, and PSL Karting for all of their hard work and support."
Next up for BirelART North America will be a trio of events at the Orlando Kart Center where they will compete in the United States Pro Kart Series and the final round of the ROK Cup USA Florida Winter Tour before beginning their quest for race wins and national championships at the 2023 SKUSA Pro Tour.
