With the Canadian Karting Championships marked on their calendar as one of the premier events of the 2022 season, the goal of BirelART North America was not only to attend but to dominate. Leaving the Mosport Karting Centre with six wins and 21 podiums, the team did just what they wanted and proved that they are the highest-level karting program on the Canadian karting scene.

With victories coming in Briggs Junior, Briggs Senior, DD2, ROK Senior, Shifter KZ1, ROK Shifter, and Shifter Masters as well as multiple podiums throughout, BirelART North America proved that their product line, from the slowest to the quickest karts on the grid, is the one to beat.

Dominating the shifter kart ranks, three of the BirelART North America wins came from the gearbox categories. A podium sweep in ROK Shifter was won by Dante Lerra (PSL), who led a pair of PRO Racing drivers in Slavik Putiatin and Marcello Paniccia to the checkered flag. Scoring a one-two-three finish was only the start for the potent squad. In the Shifter KZ1 category, it was PSL Karting's Davide Greco who scored the Canadian title in another one-two finish for the BirelART product line. While Greco took the win, it was Jared Ramnarayan (PRO) who crossed the line in second and celebrated on the podium. Alex Gauthier (CRT) made it a shifter class sweep for BirelART taking top honors in the Shifter Master category.

Switching from the Shifter classes to the Vortex ROK powerplants, it was one victory, three podiums, and four top-five results across two classes for BirelART drivers. Patrick Woods-Toth (Prime) was the dominant driver in ROK Senior as he earned the Canadian title as Marco Felice put a pair of Prime Powerteam drivers on the podium with a third-place result. Putting three in the top-five, Diego Ramos (PSL) crossed the line fifth after an issue in qualifying forced him to start the weekend from the back of the grid. Jackson Morley added an additional podium for both BirelART North America and Prime Powerteam driving to a second-place finish and Vice-Championship honors in Mini ROK.

Two additional Canadian Karting Championships came from the Briggs classes as Sebastian Day  earned his spot in the Canadian karting history books by taking the Briggs Junior win while Michael Morrow (Prime) made it another one-two finish for the product line. Briggs Cadet driver Cole Medeiros (PRO) slotted himself into the third position to stand on the podium while a trio of BirelART North America drivers found their way to the top-five in Briggs Masters with Stephan Goebel in second, Rich Folino (PRO) in fourth and Jamie Macarthur in fifth.

The Briggs Senior class was dominated by the BirelART contingent as it was a sweep of the top-five on the results sheets. Jordan Prior (Prime) led the way to take the title ahead of Nicky Palladino (MSR) in second. Prime Powerteam added another podium result with David Barnes in third, just ahead of Brannan Traylor and Frank Launi in fourth and fifth respectively.

With wins and podiums in both the shifter ranks and ROK-powered classes, similar success was found in the Rotax divisions for BirelART North America. Jeff Kingsley (PSL) was the first driver to reach the checkered flag in the Rotax DD2 class but a penalty for missing a portion of the rear bumper dropped him to the bottom of the results sheet. Lucas Pernod (Ben Cooper Racing) finished second on track but was elevated to the race win after Kingsley's misfortune while his Ben Cooper Racing teammate Christophe Legrand finished fifth. On the Rotax DD2 Master side of the program, it was a double podium at the hands of Alexandre Gauthier (CRT) and Maximilien Gareau (CRT) on the second and third steps of the podium.

Franki Esposito (Prime) took top honors on track in the Rotax Junior class in what looked to be his first Canadian Karting Championship, but a post-race bumper penalty dropped him to second on the results sheets while in Rotax Senior, Timothy Pernod (BCR) crossed the stripe in fifth. The final three top-five results of the weekend came from the Mini Max ranks as Lucas Delongschamps (BCR) and Olivier Mrak (BCR) delivered podium-winning performances in second and third while Alexis Baillargeon added a P5 finish.
