Results from the 4th round of the Eastern Quebec Championship.

Quebec, June 20th, Last Sunday the fourth round of the Eastern Quebec Championship was held at Karting Château-Richers track (Quebec) with more than 80 drivers.   The races were held during a beautiful week-end.  Drivers from U.S.A., Atlantic Provinces and Ontario were there. 

 

In Cadet, Alexandre Fortin from Quebec City swiped honours again with a first position in qualify, pre-final and final.  In Junior Formula, a first victory for Mikaël Grenier who won qualify, pre-final and final.  In Rotax Jr, an other first place win for Samuel Charland, which makes it 4 in 4.  In Master, Gilles Hébert won his first race.  In Honda Sr, Eric Beltrami made a hat trick with qualify, pre-final and final.  In F.A.Q. Sr, Alain Harbour was first. In Rotax Sr, Jean-François Valour won his second race in a row. 

 

Note all races in Rotax Sr and Jr classes are counted for the Canadian Rotax Championship.  This year these classes have to run a new kind of tire (MOJO). 

 

 New in 2005, is the team Championship.  There are 4 drivers per team and each point is accumulated at the end of the season, the winning team and driver will have a purse of over 2000.00 $.  At this time the ALKarting team leads since the beginning of the season, followed by the Fix Auto team.

The winners in Rotax Max Sr and Jr will win in their specific class a race week-end at the first round of the Florida Winter Tour.  The price included :

Ø     Hotel

Ø     Round trip airfare for the winner

 

All the winners in the Honda Sr, F.A.Q. , Master, ICC (except Rotax Sr and Jr) and the second position of the Rotax Sr will win a test day (Friday) in Formula 1600 with Multi-Prêt racing team at Sanair track in  October 2005.  At the end of the trial day, the most improved driver will continue with Multi-Prêt racing team all week-end. And the rookie of the year will win a 3 days school in Toyota Echo cup with Track Racing.
