Announcing PSL USA!
lundi, juin 6 2011
Mere months after being named the #1 CRG dealer in the World at the company’s traditional End-of-Season Awards Ceremony, PSL Karting has come up with its first major encore act: The formation of PSL USA! No longer limited to Eastern Canada, PSL is now free to expand its dealer network into the United States and across North America.

"For sure we are very proud of this new contract with CRG," said PSL Karting President Dominic Labrecque, speaking from his office as the track outside his window hosted the Eastern Canadian Karting Championship and the Coupe de Quebec over the Memorial Day weekend. "It’s the result of 12 years of hard work, passion, and a professional approach to the karting business. We have worked very hard to make this point, and our focus now adds to ensure we put CRG back to #1 in the USA."
The announcement should come as welcome news to CRG teams and drivers across the continent, as there can be little argument regarding the success of Team PSL at the track. In 2010 alone, PSL won class championships in nearly every category and series it entered. Centred on Rotax for a majority of its season. Team PSL Karting won 4 Canadian National Championships, 2 US National Championships, 2 Florida Winter Tour Championships and 2 Pan American Championships - not to mention many more Regional Championships in Quebec and Eastern Canada. It sent nine drivers to the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals in Italy and had representation via drivers from three different countries.
An impressive tally to be sure, and 2011 may exceed even that. With the Canadian racing season having only just begun, Team PSL has already secured 5 Championships through the Florida Winter Tour and Gatorz Challenge of the Americas, and confirmed four drivers for the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals: Canadians Nicholas Latifi and Michael Vincec in DD2, Mexican Rene Martinelli in Masters, and Brazilian Felipe Fraga in Rotax Senior. All involved take great pride in seeing drivers such as these succeed, as preparing and supporting those who represent CRG is the number-one goal of the team based out of Trois-Rivieres, Quebec.
"PSL is recognized for its professionalism, its knowledge of the CRG product line, and its level of customer support at races," Labrecque continued. "And for everyone at PSL, customer satisfaction will always matter. We take great pride in having our products and accessories available when providing trackside support, and we can fill larger orders in a matter of hours. We have a massive inventory, and can have nearly any order prepared in time for overnight delivery."
To see the service and support that comes from being a PSL/CRG dealer, one need look no further than the Canadian PSL network Labrecque and his team have created. From its home base in Trois-Rivieres, PSL supports PSL Ontario, PSL Montreal and PSL Atlantic - the first to come on board as PSL began to expand its empire within its home and native land. Each is a success in its own right, and the group bands together at major races both in Canada and the United States.
"PSL Atlantic has been around for five years, with a dealer relationship with PSL Karting and servicing Atlantic Canada," said Mike Dobbelsteyn, PSL Atlantic owner. "My dealings with Dom and the team have been very good, with great support from him and Stephane. When we decided to go into the karting business we toured all kart dealers the previous winter and found pslkarting to be very open and the best fit for us. We have are own team tuners that work closely with Dominic and CRG, and we test the newest CRG equipment and pslkarting-tuned Rotax engines. We have raced year-round for two years straight, and are supported at all events we attend: SuperNationals, Canadian Nationals, Florida Winter Tour, ECKC, Coupe de Quebec and Maritime Prokart Races."
The complimentary words are music to the ears of Team PSL, as keeping distributors at the forefront of kart racing is an overriding goal at company headquarters. Labrecque is currently in Italy visiting CRG SpA as Team PSL prepares for exciting times ahead. Through an early advertising campaign, PSL has already been contacted and is studying a proposals from a number of karting operations in the United States, and plans are also in the works to establish a PSL/USA distribution center. Other interested parties are encouraged to explore the possibilities of joining the PSL/CRG family of dealers, and can make contact through pslkarting.com
