Manetti and Waldschmidt Conquer ICC and ICA Titles

The satisfaction of CRG factory pilot Alessandro Manetti after having won the 125cc Italian Open Championship title with one race to spare in the five race series made the victory even sweeter. Manetti’s CRG and Maxter 125cc engine made its debut during the first round of the Italian Open this year at Napoli and clinched his title with a win at round four in LaConca.
The flying Dutchman Henkie Waldschmidt, thanks to a convincing third place finish at the final round at Jesolo, clinched the ICA 100cc Open Championship against his long time rival Nicholas Risitano with Birel. The head to head confrontation was battles of nerves seeing Waldschmidt edge his worthy rival after having tried on several occasions to overtake him.
The Jesolo race for CRG proved to be even more interesting for the win obtained by Marco Wittmann in the 100cc ICA Junior category. Maxter was able to resolve its problems which had always denied the young German driver of a victory. The final standings in the ICA Junior category show Wittmann finishing in second place for the championship behind Top kart pilot, Phillip Eng.
