PSL READIES FOR STARS OF KARTING RACE OF THE AMERICAS

Canadian team travels to Indianapolis for prestigious East vs. West event

TROIS-RIVIERES, QUEBEC (May 28, 2008) – After a lengthy time off, the PSL Karting hauler will hit the road once again to travel to the United States for the Snap-on Stars of Karting Presented by IndyCar ‘Mazda Race of the Americas’ event at the New Castle Motorsports Park. Inside the trailer, nine PSL Karting-prepped CRG karts are ready to battle in the ‘East vs. West’ match-up, which is set for May 30-June 1. The event will be the second round for both divisional championships as the PSL pilots are looking to advance in the point standings.

Leading the squad is top Intercontinental C (ICC) pilot Fritz Leesmann. The Kohilo Racing supported driver currently sits third and sixth in the divisional standings (East-West) with a main event win at the Eastern Division opener in Ocala standing as his best result of the year. Pennsylvania native Josh Schreiber also competed in both opening rounds and sits eighth in the East and 14th in the West and he will be focused on moving up with a solid weekend in Indiana. Canadian Tom Cadieux and Floridian Corey Rossman sit ninth and 24th, respectively, in the Eastern ICC standings heading into the prestigious Race of the Americas.

New to the PSL team is another Californian, Jess Peterson. The 2006 Stars of Karting ICA Western Division champion has moved to the CRG brand and PSL Karting for his second season in the ICC category. Also joining the PSL team under the tent will be PCH Motorsports driver Jacob Neal. The Californian made his Stars ICC debut at the Miller Motorsports Park event while racing with the flu. Muscling through the two finals, he recorded a eighth and a fifth to sit in the P5 slot in the Western standings.  PSL and PCH have worked together before, giving team drivers support when traveling away from each squad’s territory.

Flying the PSL Karting colors in the competitive Junior Intercontinental A (JICA) category will be Canadian Tommy Beshro and Kohilo Racing-supported Jordan Jadallah. Beshro put in a stellar performance during the Ocala weekend to finish as high as eighth. Jadallah, making his Stars of Karting JICA debut in Utah for the Western opener, was quick all weekend, however trouble in both main events did not allow him to show his true speed. Also running for PSL on the weekend is Federico Moreno, who competed with the team in the Florida Winter Tour - running in the competitive Stars TaG class.
