PSL KARTING MAKES '08 DEBUT WITH SOLID RESULTS AT WINTER TOUR

Canadian team scores five podium finishes at Florida Rotax event

HOMESTEAD, FL (January 17, 2008) - North American karting powerhouse PSL
Karting made its 2008 debut this past weekend at the Florida Winter Tour's
Rotax event at the Homestead-Miami Speedway in Southern Florida, putting
in a solid team performance with a total of 11 drivers running from under
the Canadian CRG importer's tent. The team logged a total of five podium
finishes, including one victory, in four divisions to set up for what
could be a few championship runs.

The Rotax Masters contingent put in the best results for the PSL Karting
team, with two drivers scoring four podium finishes. 'Bad Brad' Smith
started the year off right as the North Carolina pilot cruised to victory
in Saturday's main event, while Canadian Denis Lachance made it two PSL
drivers on the podium with his third place run. On Sunday, the podium
would be the same except for the fact that Smith would have to settle for
second after battling for the lead for most of the main event. Lachance
maintained his pace and scored another third place finish. Denis' brother
Martin had a difficult weekend, recording two DNFs during his on-track
 outings.

Quebec's Olivier Sirois scored the fifth podium run for PSL Karting as the
Vega Cup champion ran to an impressive second in Sunday's Rotax Senior
Final. Finishing seventh in Saturday's main event, Sirois worked from 11th
to fourth in the 15-lap Prefinal to set up a great run for the podium in
the Final, where he capitalized on the mistakes of his competitors for the
second place finish. Fellow Canadian Massimo Scotti and new PSL Karting
driver Rodolfo Camarillo also put in solid performances. Scotti finished
12th and eighth in the two finals, while the Mexican Camarillo ran ninth
on Saturday but saw a possible podium finish disappear after recording a
DNF on Sunday after starting sixth.

The best drive of the weekend was recorded by Junior driver Jesus Rios Jr.
The Florida pilot missed Qualifying due to a flat tire, forcing him to
start last in the 40-kart Last Chance Qualifier. Needing to place 12th to
move on, Rios carved his way forward in the eight lap event to finish 11th
and transfer to the Big Show. Starting 38th in the Prefinal, Rios put down
the fastest laps of the 15-lap race to cross the line 10th. The Final
would again be his stage as he put down the fastest lap again, this time
coming up just one spot short of the podium in fourth place. Sunday would
be less hectic as Rios ran up front all day and would duplicate his finish
from Saturday, setting himself in a good spot at a run for the
championship. Fellow PSL drivers Tommy Beshro and Christopher Ernst
battled the tough competition all weekend long. Beshro qualified for both
finals, producing 27th and 26th place finishes, while Ernst made the main
event on Saturday, crossing the line 31st. He would podium, however, in
the B main on Sunday with a third place finish after starting 14th.

New PSL Karting driver Chemill Mercado made a great debut with the team in
the highly competitive DD2 category. With finishes of fifth and sixth in
his Senior division debut in America, the Puerto Rican now sits fourth in
the championship. Sirois, who ran Rotax Senior as well, also did double
duty by running DD2 during the weekend recording 20th and 11th place
 finishes.

The PSL Karting crew will be back at work this coming weekend as the
second group of the Florida Winter Tour will arrive at the Homestead
Karting facility.  PSL owner Dominic Labrecque will welcome his drivers in
the CIK, Shifter and TaG classes, opening the doors to 10 drivers who will
be under the PSL Karting tent aboard the popular CRG chassis. Anthony
Llopiz, Gus Vidal, and Corey Rossman will make up the ICC roster, joined
by west coast drivers Jacob Neal and Fritz Leesmann of PCH Motorsports. In
Masters Shifter, Paul Walker, Michel Legrand, and the Lachance brothers
(Denis & Martin) will return for a second straight weekend. PSL Karting
newest pilot Chemill Mercado will also return for the double weekend,
running in the new KF2 division.
