PSL driver Jan Velez was crowned Quebec ICC Champion on his CRG/Maxter combination this past weekend, leaving local SRA driver Pier-Luc Oulette in second place with Michael Marjaba stepping up to the third step at the podium.
Unfortunately, Velez had to head back to College before the podium ceremony, but Dominic Labreque was more than happy to receive the Championship trophy on behalf of Jan.
Velez said, "I was very impressed with the new Maxter engine and the CRG chassis and it shows that my engine tuner Daniel did a lot of homework. Thanks to him, my mechanic and Dominic the team was able to continue at the top of the podium. We are now looking forward to Woodbine in 2 weeks and we hope that my bad luck, which had been following me through the "Stars" series this year will end right there, and together with PSL I can repeat my visit to the podium."
The CRG/Maxter factory worked hard during these past 6 months to have their drivers again in a winning position at all races, being it in Europe or North America.
